DataMirror Privacy Policy 

This Privacy Policy describes how DataMirror Corporation and its subsidiaries and affiliates worldwide (referred to collectively as "DataMirror") use information that may be collected during your use of the DataMirror Web site. Your use of the DataMirror Web site constitutes acceptance of and agreement with DataMirror's Privacy Policy, described below, including your agreement and consent to DataMirror's use of such information as described herein. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the DataMirror Web site. 

DataMirror reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time without notice. Accordingly, please return to this page periodically to check for changes. 

Information Collection and Use 

In some parts of the DataMirror Web Site you may be asked to provide information about yourself and your organization. This information may include name, business address, telephone number and e-mail contact information and/or information regarding your position, computer systems environment and the nature of your data management/data replication needs. This information is generally provided by filling out and submitting an online form. It may also be provided in other ways, for example by transmission of an e-mail message or other communication to DataMirror. Providing information is voluntary, and you do not have to provide any information to DataMirror. However, you may not be able to obtain certain products, services or information from the DataMirror Web site if you choose not to provide the requested information. 

DataMirror collects information from you to support our business relationship with you. DataMirror treats your information as confidential business records, and uses your information in the course of its business to communicate with you, to facilitate transactions and to support and enhance your business relationship with DataMirror. If you have requested information from DataMirror, the information you provide is used to send you the requested information. DataMirror may also send you other information about products and services offered by DataMirror and/or other organizations that we think may be of interest to you. If you download DataMirror trial software, your information is retained by DataMirror to record you as a trial user of DataMirror's software, and to follow up with you regarding your use of the software. 

DataMirror does not sell information collected from users of the DataMirror Web site to other companies or organizations. Information provided over the DataMirror Web site is initially collected by DataMirror Corporation in Ontario, Canada. DataMirror may share information with or disclose information to its various affiliates and subsidiaries worldwide, as well as others with whom it does business (for example, service providers assisting in a customer mailing or business partners). In such cases DataMirror makes every effort to ensure that these third parties are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of such information. 

IP Address and Cookies 

When you access and browse the DataMirror Web Site, DataMirror's Web server records your IP address and obtains some basic information about your computer's browser, operating system and hardware platform. This information is used to facilitate your use of the DataMirror Web site, to keep track of user visits and "hits" to the various pages of the DataMirror Web site, and to improve the DataMirror Web site to make it more accessible and easier to use. 

Certain parts of the DataMirror Web site, such as the Trial Software Download section, use cookies.
